Key Features
Key Feature 01
Designed to step back, so they can step forward
A purposefully simple design keeps distractions out and curiosity in. Three height settings from age 1.5 to 6 — adjusting as they grow, never getting in their way.
Key Feature 02
Designed to keep things on the desk
The desktop has a raised edge that keeps small toys, crayons, and other items from rolling off.
Key Feature 03
Proportioned to work with the Norsta chair
Built as a pair with the Norsta chair from the ground up. When used together, the proportions always feel right.
Key Feature 04
Their own place in the home
A drawer for the things they love. Having a space that's entirely theirs teaches children to care for it.

Furniture that grows with the family
Play is when a child concentrates best.
Norsta is made for that. Start with the desk, or with the chair, and add a piece when the time is right. Each one opens up a little more room to play.
The series is made to be built up over time, so the furniture changes as your family does.
FAQs
Norsta or Buono: which suits my child?
Both series start from the same idea. A child explores at their own pace and grows by making their own choices, a way of thinking that has much in common with Montessori education.
The two take different routes. Norsta builds independence through creativity and free play. Buono builds independence through an orderly space and focused learning.
How are the Norsta desk and table different from a study desk?
An ordinary study desk is built for children of primary-school age and up. Norsta is designed to be used from around 1.5 years.
The biggest difference is the height adjustment. The tabletop and the seat each have three height settings, so your child keeps a good posture with the soles of their feet flat on the floor, and the habit of sitting down at a desk grows naturally.
Add the Norsta3 Kids Bookshelf and the Norsta3 Kids Toy Rack, and the set carries a child from playing to learning.
Can I assemble it on my own?
Yes. The build is simple: you tighten bolts with the Allen key supplied, and you don't need any special tools.
Allow about 30 minutes on your own, or about 20 minutes with two people. There's an assembly video to follow as you go.
How much storage does my child need?
You don't need to buy large storage furniture at the start. Build it up in step with your child's growth and interests.
Begin with what a child can reach and manage on their own, such as the drawer of their desk. That supports the habit of putting their own things back in their own place.
As toys and picture books build up, add a toy rack with a carry box, such as the Norsta3 Kids Toy Rack. Tidying up then stays part of playing.
