Yamatoya Co., Ltd. was founded in 1924 in Aichi, Japan. Building on the craftsmanship and integrity established by its founder, Shikata Kurazo, the second generation, Akio, began creating furniture for children. Today, under the leadership of the third generation, Keiichi, the company continues to expand with a mission to bring a healthy future to children around the world.
As Yamatoya celebrates its 100th anniversary, it remains committed to its philosophy of “furniture that leads to a healthy future,” designing and developing every piece in-house with a dedication to quality, natural wood, and furniture that supports children’s growth and family connection.
